The political organization, Lee County Young Democrats, endorses Dr. Cindy Banyai, Candidate for US House of Representatives FL-19
Fort Myers, FL, July 27rd - The Lee County Young Democrats is a local political organization working to get young people more engaged in politics. The group is composed primarily of democrats ages 16-40 who endorse candidates who best represent the values of young local voters. The organization most recently through a competitive process endorsed Dr. Cindy Banyai for the Democratic nominee for FL-19’s Congressional race.
Dr. Banyai has a history of engaging with students and other young people in the area. She is a instructor of Global Studies and American Government at Florida Gulf Coast University and has dedicated her life to educate students and motivate them to be actively connected to government and political systems. She has also worked with her business partners to host free trainings on community organizing and systems change to give young people the tools to make a difference in their communities.
Cindy Banyai has spent her life supporting and empowering the next generation, and she will continue to do so when elected to Congress. Dr. Cindy Banyai is a Democrat running for Florida Congressional District 19, spanning coastal Southwest Florida from Cape Coral to Marco Island. She is a mom of 3 native Floridians and a small business owner. Dr. Banyai has been a decorated professional in the field of community development for almost 20 years, collaborating with nonprofits around the world on issues such as homelessness, children’s services, education, and sustainable development. Dr. Banyai is fighting for our water, our health, and our community. She’s running for Congress to lift the voices of the people to be on the same level as politicians and CEOs and to create a Southwest Florida where the sun shines on everyone.
