Katherine Norman, candidate for Florida State Senate District 23, and Dr. Cindy Banyai for US House of Representatives FL-19, swap endorsements.
Fort Myers, FL - Congressional candidate, Dr. Cindy Banyai, and candidate for Florida State Senate, Katherine Norman, are joining forces to represent the people of Florida. The candidates have most recently been working together on the leadership team of the new Flip Florida Blue initiative. The goal of the network is to give candidates a place to share information and support each other to elect more Democrats and turn out the vote.
Besides the launch of Flip Florida Blue, Norman will work to ensure that all voters are represented in the Florida Senate. She understands that politics have been divisive and overly complicated for too long. She wants to bring transparency to all forms of government and make sure everyone can make their voices heard. She is also running to unseat the State Republican party chair: a major Trump supporter who is working to further the far-right agenda in Florida.
A long-time community organizer, professor, and small business owner, Dr. Banyai also understands the importance of a government that works for the people. She has not only dedicated her life to teaching students about government and political systems, but also leads workshops to show young people how to organize and get involved in local government. She is running for Congress because it is too easy for companies and bureaucrats to make decisions without caring what people think. In Washington, she will lift the voice of the people of Florida to be on the same level as CEOs and government officials.
Dr. Cindy Banyai is a Democrat running for Florida Congressional District 19, spanning coastal Southwest Florida from Cape Coral to Marco Island. She is a mom of 3 native Floridians and a small business owner. Dr. Banyai has been a decorated professional in the field of community development for almost 20 years, collaborating with nonprofits around the world on issues such as homelessness, children’s services, education, and sustainable development. Dr. Banyai is fighting for our water, our health, and our community. She’s running for Congress to lift the voices of the people to be on the same level as politicians and CEOs and to create a Southwest Florida where the sun shines on everyone.
