
Dr. Cindy Banyai, Candidate for US House of Representatives FL-19, and Connie Bennett- Martin, Candidate for Fort Myers Ward 4, endorse each other for office
Fort Myers, FL - Connie Bennett-Martin and Cindy Banyai are excited to join forces to continue fighting for change in their local and state government.
Martin has spent most of her life in public relations and volunteer management. She aspires to make the city more accessible for everyone, not just those who know who to call to get things done. She will work to make Fort Myers’ City Council meetings fair for all. She will also prioritize enhancing the council’s transparency to ensure residents can see the long- term and full picture of a project without any surprises.
Banyai has a long history of working with nonprofits and small businesses all over Fort Myers’ to improve their efficiency and productivity. She looks forward to helping Martin bring these changes to the City Council as well.
Banyai and Martin are hosting a Caravan for Change event this Saturday from 10AM- 11:30AM. They hope to bring awareness to the change they want to see on the City Council. Participants will meet up in the parking lot at The Edison at 9:30AM, and the route will drive through Jefferson Park, Gardner Park via McGregor neighborhood then back to The Edison via Cortez. Participants are invited to decorate their car in orange or patriotic red, white and blue and can also make signs! Dr. Cindy Banyai is a Democrat running for Florida Congressional District 19, spanning coastal Southwest Florida from Cape Coral to Marco Island. She is a mom of 3 native Floridians and a small business owner. Dr. Banyai has been a decorated professional in the field of community development for almost 20 years, collaborating with nonprofits around the world on issues such as homelessness, children’s services, education, and sustainable development.
