The American health care system is broken. Costs for treatments are high. Insurance prices are often unfeasible for working families. Our health overall is suffering.

I know first hand what it's like to have a loved one fall suddenly ill. My youngest daughter had a rare blood disease when she was a baby. We are still struggling with the insurance company to this day to pay for her nearly 2 years of treatment.
I’ve experienced good, affordable, and accessible health care as a student in Japan. People go to the doctor when they need to without worrying about emptying their bank accounts. They emphasis health and prevention. We can do this too!
I will be our voice in Washington to ensure families aren't going bankrupt to save their loved ones. We need more affordable access to care. It's important for our health and our economy.
